From the Conservative Examiner:
Therefore, it was hard for me to believe that California’s 11% jobless rate today was ‘the highest in the state’s history.’Sure enough, the actual figures show the real truth. California’s unemployment rate is the highest since 1976–during Jimmy Carter’s presidency. – Anthony G. Martin (Fascist douchebag and overall liar)
The article was accusing CBS of cooking unemployment numbers, which may well be the case, but the Conservative Examiner needs to examine who was the President in 1976, REPUBLICAN Gerald Ford.
Of course it’s not like an American conservative-oriented news service is aiming at rocket scientists for readers, and as typical as it is for a Republican to lie in order to try and pin anything to a Democrat, even Wikipedia can tell you that Jimmy Carter’s presidency started on January 20, 1977.
He inherited a recession that took hold during the tenure of either his predecessor, Republican Gerald Ford, or you know, maybe the guy that resigned over the Watergate corruption scandal and made Gerald Ford president. Who could that be? Republican Richard Nixon? (Ford served most of Nixon’s second term after Nixon resigned)
So until January 20, 1977, the last Democratic president was Lyndon B. Johnson whose term expired January 20, 1969.
So with all due respect to the Republican Revisionists with their heads firmly up their asses at the Conservative Examiner, even a quick glance at Wikipedia will tell you that you’re fucking full of shit and there’s no way you’re pinning that recession on a Democrat. (Unless in your next article, Ford and Nixon are Democrats. I’m sure your readers won’t argue.)
This is exactly like the Fixed Noise Network “mistaking” all the Republican criminals that are escorted out of their offices in handcuffs (like the pedophile Republican Mark Foley) and labeling them as Democrats hoping to catch a clueless audience off guard.
PS: Nice try.
