Indiana Republicans attempt to steal the right to vote from low income Hoosiers

The state of Indiana has been sued over failure to comply with Federal laws mandating that voter registration is offered to people who sign up for public assistance, such as food stamps.

With growing numbers of people becoming unemployed and having to file for both unemployment insurance compensation and food stamp benefits, it stands to reason that the party that is largely responsible for the mass exodus of American jobs to foreign countries would like to take every possible chance to prevent (or at least not encourage) the persons affected by their treachery from voting them out of office.

Republicans across the country last year were trying to steal the right to vote from persons who had their homes foreclosed on, in a similar voter disenfranchisement maneuver.

When the chips are down, the only way for the Republican criminals to stay in office is for them to cheat the American citizens they helped injure out of their only meaningful chance to participate in deciding who is running this country.

The things you can do to thwart the Republicans and exercise your Constitutional right to vote?

1. Call your county clerk at least a month (check the deadline in your state to make sure it’s not too late to register) before the election and make sure your name is still on the registered voter list.

2. Even if everything checks out, fill out another registration anyway and make sure it gets postmarked before the cut off date.

3. Make sure to have state-issued non-expired photo ID with you, that has your correct name and address.

4. Try to do early voting if your state allows it, and show up at the poll on your day off.

I’ll stay there all day long if I have to. No Republican is going to block me from voting without a God-damned fight on their hands!
